As Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer, Mitch Bleske oversees all components of Bremer’s revenue production, including executive oversight of Bremer’s commercial and agriculture banking, capital markets, consumer and mortgage banking, insurance, investments, retirement plan services and wealth management teams, in addition to overseeing Bremer’s operations and product and innovation teams. Mitch is also responsible for all of Bremer’s financial management activities, including financial and regulatory reporting, accounting and tax, corporate treasury, and capital. As a direct result of his business insights and financial expertise, Bremer has pursued new lines of business and customer-focused strategies that are driving profitable growth.
Prior to joining Bremer in 2013, Mitch was treasurer and an executive committee member for Trustmark National Bank, located in Jackson, MS. He has also worked at United Community Banks where he was senior vice president, director of capital markets and treasurer, and at U.S. Bancorp, where he held several treasury roles including derivatives, fixed income portfolio management and balance sheet risk management. Mitch graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics and earned his master’s in business administration from the University of St. Thomas.
Mitch is actively involved in the community, serving on the boards of Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, International Rett Syndrome Foundation and the Midwest Rett Syndrome Foundation. Mitch and his wife, Erin, have four children, one of whom was diagnosed with Rett syndrome at the age of 3.
