Bremer Bank Commercial Banking Manager Julie Whitney was recently named to the “Women You Need to Know and Watch In North Dakota Business” list by the Greater North Dakota Chamber (GNDC). The annual recognition spotlights individuals whose achievements and influence are driving progress in their organizations and industries.

A highly respected leader in the North Dakota region, Whitney has more than 30 years of financial experience in business development, risk management, financial and industry analysis, and accounting, and is a key leader of Bremer’s Fargo branch. Her unique background and depth of experience in finance allow her to identify headwinds, issues and opportunities relevant to manufacturers.

“Julie has had a tremendous impact at Bremer Bank and in the Fargo-Moorhead region,” said Jeanne Crain, Bremer Bank president and CEO. “Her influence and passion for the Fargo-Moorhead area and her expertise in the manufacturing sector make each better and stronger. Whitney’s commitment to the long-term growth of the local manufacturing industry informs her service on the board of directors for Impact Dakota, a federal Manufacturing Extension Partnership Organization that provides training and advocacy for North Dakota manufacturers. She also serves on the board of the District Export Council, serving exporters in the Fargo-Moorhead region.

“It is an absolute honor to be recognized among other outstanding women who make the North Dakota business community stronger for everyone,” said Whitney. “I’m grateful to have worked alongside so many remarkable people in the industry and in the community who have shaped my career.”

Award winners will be formally honored at a Women You Need to Know List & Luncheon hosted by the GNDC in Bismarck in May.
