Dec. 18 is Otto Bremer Day in the State of Minnesota
In celebration of its 80th anniversary, Bremer Bank has donated a total of $80,000 to nonprofit organizations across the Upper Midwest. The donations were distributed as eight individual, $10,000 gifts to nonprofits located in communities across Minnesota, western Wisconsin and North Dakota.
“Bremer is proud to celebrate its 80th anniversary, a milestone that commemorates our success as a bank deeply committed to the communities we serve,” said Jeanne Crain, president and CEO of Bremer Bank. “These donations represent our legacy – established by our founder, Otto Bremer – of cultivating thriving communities.”
German immigrant Otto Bremer founded Bremer Bank in St. Paul, Minnesota, guided by his belief that if banks helped businesses thrive in both the good times and the bad, then all communities could thrive. Eight decades later, Otto’s legacy of cultivating thriving communities lives on through Bremer’s customers and employees, who help grow our region’s food, build our region’s economies and serve our region’s neighbors. Great Plains Food Bank (Fargo, N.D.)
Red River Valley Community Action (Grand Forks, N.D.)
Eau Claire Area Hmong Mutual Assistance Association, Inc. (Eau Claire, Wis.)
